OSU-AHEC, located on the campus of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, focuses its efforts on addressing inequities that lead to health disparities in under-resourced communities.  These inequities include Central Ohio health literacy, cultural competency, and health professions workforce diversity.  Clear Health Communication is a signature AHEC program providing on-line and classroom training to enable healthcare professionals to overcome communication barriers. The AHEC Group on Health Equity (GHE) involves partnership with the OSU College of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Public Health, Veterinary Medicine and the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with education programs in Athletic Training, Dietetics, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Science, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiological Sciences, and Respiratory Therapy.  OSU AHEC also partners with the Columbus Partners Achieving Community Transformation (PACT) in support of the K-12 Health Sciences Academies serving the Near Eastside of Columbus, Ohio.
